EHD // Lacerti

Drew some weird alien tribal dudes. The aesthetic I went for with these guys was a mix of organic and synthetic, almost like an biological robot. I elongated the shoulders, giving them 3 functional joints for flexibility and reach to climb around the jungles of the planet. The coloration helps them blend into the vegetation of their natural habitat.

"The second sentient species discovered by human colonists on Olympus KE-437, feral Lacerti are a nomadic species that hunt in packs consisting of up to 7 or 8 members each. Early contact with Lacerti tribes near Fort Frankford has been met with extreme aggression; however, second-generation Lacerti bred in isolation from their parents have shown to be relatively docile compared to the tribals. It is speculated that this aggression is a cultural element rather than an innate behavior of Lacerti. Independent and NAU-sanctioned missionary groups are already working on uplifting the natives from their savage cultures for assimilation into human society."

A buncha cybernetically enhanced dogs for a personal project that I've been working on for a while during my free time. The basic idea behind these guys is that AI isn't advanced enough to smoothly navigate their robot bodies across rough terrain for warfare during the third world war, so scientists just stuck dogs in mech suits. Also, there's the whole thing about the ethics of whether or not an AI is ready to make the decision to kill, but ethics are boring! These puppers have their limbs and half of the torso removed at birth, and their remaining organs are shoved into sacks with life support to become mech pilots. After the war, the dogs are often used to assist law enforcement in controlling the chaos of the sprawling walled cities of 22nd-century China.
